Biography

Liz Patu is part of the engine room of the Buildcorp Wallaroos’ forward pack, able to pack down in the front row or make daring runs from the back of the scrum. Fierce in defence and fearless in attack has allowed Patu to become a strong asset to the Wallaroos since the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2014.

2017
Patu was selected to represent Australia at the International Women's Rugby Series in New Zealand and the Women’s Rugby World Cup.

2018
Patu was selected in the Wallaroos team in the Bledisloe test series. Her outstanding performance in the Super W season for the Queensland Reds lead to Patu being named captain for the series. In the two Test Series against New Zealand, Patu was named to Captain her adopted country where Australia showed vast improvement on the International stage.

2019
Named in the 2019 Buildcorp Wallaroos squad to take on Japan, Patu is sure to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field when the Wallaroos take the field on home soil this this July.
