Biography

Samantha Treherne became the first player to play in every level of the Women’s pathway having played at the National Women’s XVs Championship (now defunct), Buildcorp Super W and the Aon University Sevens Series, taking Treherne to the Buildcorp Wallaroos and Qantas Australian Women’s Sevens Squad.

Treherne hails from a Rugby family in Melbourne but made the move to Queensland in 2018 to further her career and Rugby opportunities. A hard worker, Treherne brings Aussie 7s experience with Wallaroos determination to the 2019 squad.

2017
Treherne was selected to represent Australia at the International Women's Rugby Series in New Zealand and represented Australia at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Ireland.

2018
In 2018 Treherne signed with Queensland Women’ for the inaugural Buildcorp Super W where the team made the Final. Treherne played in both Tests against New Zealand.

2019
Treherne landed a full time Australian Sevens contract with Rugby Australia however the versatile full back will still line up for the Wallaroos in the XV-person format of the game, after being named to line up against Japan in the upcoming test match in July.
