A product of Sydney University Rugby team, Sera Naiqama is a young Rugby talent in the making.  In 2012, when Naiqama heard that women’s rugby was becoming an Olympic sport she was enticed to give Rugby a crack, joining her school team. A year later she started playing XVs for Sydney University and was hooked on the game ever since.

Hailing from a family of Rugby League players, brothers Kevin and Wes playing in the NRL, and captaining the National Fijian team, Naqiama hails from a strong sporting pedigree as she continues to rise in the XVs person code.

In 2018 Naqiama was a part of the winning Sydney Uni side, taking out the Jack Scott Cup 38-17 against Warringah.

In 2019 Naqiama lined up for New South Wales Waratahs Women in the second season of Buildcorp Super W which saw the team defeat Queensland 8-5 in the Final. Her hard word and consistency throughout the competition was recognised when she was named in the 2019 Wallaroos side to take on Japan.
