Sally Fuesaina

A late bloomer of the game, Sally Fuesaina enjoyed playing rugby union as a child but like most female athletes stopped playing at the age of 12 and didn’t return until their late teens. Fuesaina became a mother to two beautiful girls, Athena and Luna, with the 32-year-old recently speaking of how post-partum depression after having Luna was a major driver in her getting back into the game. Wallaroos teammate Atasi Lafai has been influential in Fuesaina’s return to the field with her form in the Super Rugby W enough for her to don the gold jersey in 2024.
