Bree-Anna Browne (nee Cheatham) was born in Toowoomba and started playing rugby at the age of 14.
Browne first started playing Rugby League then moved to Brisbane and played Oztag and Rugby Sevens at high school.
Browne rose through the ranks for Wests in Brisbane before being selected for the Queensland Reds in 2019.
She had her first taste in national colours when she was named in the Australia A squad that played New Zealand in 2019.
Injuries derailed Browne's opportunities to progress to the Wallaroos sooner but her hard work eventually paid off with an international debut against the Black Ferns in 2022.
Browne was ruled out for more than 12 months due to an ACL injury in 2023, ruling her out for the 2024 season.
She returned via the Reds in the 2025 Super Rugby Women's competition and will be eyeing off a return to the Wallaroos squad, which includes nine Test caps.
Off the field Browne works in the Australian Army.
