Brianna Hoy is a powerful emerging prop hailing from Coffs Harbour who made her debut for the Wallaroos against England in Wellington, 2023. Hoy grew up wanting to represent Australia in basketball, where she also excelled, before turning her focus to rugby in her late teens. Wallaroos teammate Kaitlan Leaney is a close friend of Hoy’s with the pair from the same region. Hoy featured for the Wallaroos during the first half of the 2024 international season before rupturing her ACL at a training session in Belfast in September. She returned home for immediate surgery in a bid to be available for the 2025 Rugby World Cup.
