Debut Test Match2024 v USA, Melbourne

Caitlyn Halse is a rising star in women’s rugby. She is the equal youngest ever Waratah in history (tied with Waiaria Ellis) after playing for the Waratahs aged just 16.

The Campbelltown product was ushered into the 2023 Wallaroos squad and although not selected at the time, she also won gold at the Youth Olympics for Rugby Sevens, inspired to play by the 2016 Rio Games win.

Halse became the youngest debutant in Wallaroos or Wallabies Test history in May, 2024, when she was selected at fullback against USA during the Pacific Four series.

Nicknamed 'The kid', Halse finished her maiden year with six caps and was nominated by World Rugby as a 2024 Breakout player of the year after dominant performances in the Wallaroos' WXV 2 title win.
