ARKS product Wood had a breakout 2024, starring for the Force as the side reached semi-finals for the first time, winning the Club’s Rebecca Clough medal, Members’ MVP and Force Woman awards plus earning her Wallaroos debut. The scrum-half had won the Force’s Rising Star award in 2023 and signed a multi-year contract after that. Underlining her promise, Wood was the 2022 Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade leading point scorer with Kalamunda. Wood grew up on her parents’ 10-acre property in Roleystone but it wasn’t until she attended her brother’s rugby training session that she wanted to play the game.
