LIVE: Wild Kansas weather delays start of Wallaroos clash with USA

LIVE: Anticipated wild weather in Kansas City on Friday afternoon (local time) has delayed the start of the Pacific Four series clash between the Wallaroos and USA in Missouri on Saturday morning (AEST).

World Rugby officials made the decision to delay the first fixture of the double header between New Zealand and Canada at CPKC Stadium, pushing the Wallaroos fixture back also in the process to 1:30 pm (AEST).

After a tornado warning for the Wallaroos earlier in the week, severe thunderstorms and potential tornado activity is anticipated at CPKC Stadium on Friday evening.

"Weather conditions at CPKC Stadium are improving. Tonight’s World Rugby Pacific Four Series at CPKC Stadium will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT (10:30 am AEST) weather permitting,” the statement said 

“Gates and parking lots will open at 6:45 p.m. CT, and shuttle operations will resume at 6:45 p.m. CT, weather permitting. Warmups will begin shortly after. 



“Weather permitting, we anticipate playing both games of tonight’s doubleheader with the USA/Australia match to begin at approximately 10:15 p.m. CT. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.”

Latest updates on a new Wallaroos kick off time will be communicated via rugby.com.au and on Wallaroos social media channels throughout the evening (local time).

The Wallaroos - USA game is set for a 1:15 pm (AEST) kickoff in Kansas City, with organisers hopeful of getting the double-header in, starting with New Zealand v Canada.
